320 Acres:
The place to incubate ideas to solve mobility challenges.
A historic motorsports venue ready to enable the future
Pacific Innovation Center, coexisting with Pacific Motorsports Park at Pacific Raceways, is creating a model for the possibilities associated with the partnerships between national racing series, tech companies, skilled labor, state research facilities, software engineers, and racetracks. We are committed to becoming the standard and showcase for sustainable building practices, operating procedures, R&D, and collaboration. Climate change is creating a pressing need, and we are providing solutions.
Race to the Future!
PACIFIC INNOVATION CENTER
Historic home to road racing in the Puget Sound Region, Pacific Raceways was founded by my grandfather, Dan Fiorito Sr, in 1960. Pacific Raceways has hosted many great races and helped shape the careers of notable leaders of the racing world with names like Andretti, Penske, Earnhardt, and Gurney.
The raceway complex sits on 320 acres in the heart of the vast Cascadia region, comprising nearly 20 million people. This highly sought-after region is supported by road and rail on the I-5 corridor connecting Vancouver, BC, to Portland. Nearby SeaTac International Airport and the seaports of Seattle and Tacoma serve as our region's gateway to the world.
The Puget Sound region is home to global technology giants Microsoft, Amazon and significant campuses of Google and Meta; it’s been named ‘cloud city’, employing hundreds of thousands of highly educated tech talent, and fostering a vast ecosystem of technology organizations.
Pacific Innovation Center is uniquely positioned to help the automotive and transportation industry, technology leaders, and the local ecosystem come together to incubate breakthroughs in mobility. We have three major initiatives to accelerate progress;
Pacific Innovation Center comprises 120 acres of prime developable land for hosting an inter-related network of incubation projects and partnerships adjacent to 120 acres of proving ground for prototype testing and sanctioned racing, alongside 80 acres of typical Pacific Northwest greenery protected by a conservation easement for future generations.
The State of Washington Department of Commerce has designated the Pacific Innovation Center a 'Project of Statewide Significance.' This designation provides that capital investment proposals in research, innovation, and environmental activities merit special treatment by governmental bodies.
Partnership opportunities via the Seattle Sports Commission are designed to engage local technology leaders to support the development of the industry-leading center for the future of sustainable mobility.
Pacific Raceways and Pacific Innovation Center are uniquely positioned to become the first track-based innovation center of its type: an incubator for talent, ideas, and technology to solve global mobility issues.
